What Gifts can be

Hello People,

This post was inspired by an argument a couple had concerning getting a toaster as a wedding gift for a newly wedded upper class couple.

Mr B says "couple would obviously get more than one, let us get something else" and Mrs B says " It is the thought that matters and They can give it out if they do not need it"

So whose side are you on?

As for Me, I believe Mrs B is right with the ''It is the thought that matters'' line, However what is the point if You already know that the couple would get at least 5 toasters on their wedding day and You are THOUGHTFULLY wrapping the sixth toaster for them to give away at the next wedding they attend?????????

Mr B is also right about searching for another option because I can bet that there were other things that could have been bought that the couple would really need.

We, at Cupids' gift Consulting believe that When You give a gift, The mere act is appreciated but if the gift itself is appreciated then that is what rewards the gesture

Gifts can be thoughtful, like giving a friend Your old bangle

Gifts can be last all year long like paying for membership of a gym for a friend

EASTER 2010 REPORT

Happy Easter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope You had a wonderful easter break and enjoyed the holidays……. The break was really needed…Ummph!!!!

Preparing these Easter packages was fun for Us. Our new delivery solution took some stress off our plate. However, our call cards were not ready to go with our Easter baskets due to printer issues and Off the baskets went with no form of cupids' gift branding…L .

On a brighter note, We still got called by the recipients expressing their gratitude - though We were not the ones that paid for the packages.J

Some recipients got the exotic fruit basket with half an easter egg

The Easter egg contained smarties, frosted cupcakes,cookies and jellies

The fruit basket contained peaches, strawberries, plum, grapes, apples, pear packham and kiwi

Also delivered was a gourmet basket containing a box of cookies, a rich fruit cake, A pack of Belgian chocolate, red wine, oil burner set and a twin wooden spatulas

P.S The fruit cake is missing in this photo

This is a dark chocolate cake ( wrapped in gold film ) and a basket containing plums, grapes, pear packhams, Belgian chocolate, a bottle of wine and a potpourri set

Other baskets prepared contained boxes of couture cupcakes, cookies, bamboo coasters, twin set of champagne flutes, champagne, table runners, candle stands ,vases………

This was another successful outing. We thank God and You.We hope You invite us to work with You on your next gift giving Occasion.

For now, We are keeping busy organizing birthday gifts for staff of a company..Would update you on that and we promise to post a photo of the almighty call cards when /if they finally show up.

MOTHERS DAY REPORT PART 1

Happy Mothers day Success people!!!!

Cupids Gift Consulting is back o with all the grease and gist! Things have been so hectic with Mother's day deliveries and consulting, We had to take time, sit back *with spring rolls* and prepare an interesting update for You.

Mother's day was beautiful we got a lot of clients>>thanks guys! We were initially scared because people didn't seem willing to spend as much as they did on their girlfriends(surprising i know!),but at last hurray!!! We were able to force some horses to drink water at our river…lol

We prepared gifts for young wives, aunties, ol' skool mum, trendy mum…..not to forget the dainty MIL Of MYNE WHITMAN and It was so much fun and work,(as usual last minute order change). the amount of time and detail that went into picking each gift was really heartwarming. When we say bespoke packages we mean it, (We had a stiletto heel on one of our box of cakes cos the mum is a shoe lover).We almost missed 2 deliveries due to *mummy has just gone to church*

We made sure mums did not get too much sugar in their system with our low sugar range.

People really love their mum's oh! (forget all those fb status and tweets)

From the spa treatments to flavoured herbal teas to Ankara to teapots…it wasn't an easy juggle for us.

We had a client call in from America who wanted a package for her Mother-in law. When we went to deliver the package the woman could barely hold back tears. P.S benefit of this business is getting loads of hugs..hmm!!! J

We made all fathers jealous this Mothers day... Lol but be assured we have a dandy plan for father's day come june J This is why we do what we do. Making people happy and knowing that it reminds them that they are loved is such a great feeling.

Ready Steady Wrap the Basket!!!!

Hmm!!!!!!!

Orders for mothers day are in and We are working hard to deliver...though till date, noone has spent up to 50000 naira on a mother...I Wonder why?
For valentine's day,We were juggling blackberries for wives and babes, hawes and curtis shirts...spa vouchers...orders,orders,orders 50000,20000,70000 dropping like its hot.but this time for mothers day....We are actually cajoling folks to give mum a good gift..Na wa 'for the convenient economic meltdown' O!!!

I would have deceived myself that on a normal day people give mummy some fat envelopes and that is why they are relaxing...hmmm but I know the truth o....I have proof that some people have given their mum hugs,kisses and cards(maybe) for a while now and they are scared to break the tradition so She does not keep expecting baskets every mothers day....lol

Sometimes It is soo annoying to get up and You are amazed at the length You would go to get a gift for someone else's mother.That someone else that You had to give 20 reasons to part with 5000 naira...You just get up and go cause that is what You should do and You already see the future without being Psychic...The future is the mother happily beaming and praying for her "thoughtful and loving" son( that you had to give 20 reasons o) and He would bask in the glory...lol

If You really do not have cash,show mum the love with a kind gesture (pls a text or phone call is not enough except she is faraway) i.e cook for her,give her a day off, sing for her,let her have control of the remote for that day (lmao!!!),tell her how much she means to You with spoken words,e.t.c and remember the mum You celebrate with does not have to be your mum...She should just be some that has shown motherly affection towards You or others.She could be your aunty,your sister,your wife sef!!!!

So off our buyers go to the mall to search for gifts for a few wives,sisters and mothers,Hopefully We would get the right combination that would be appreciated (We have to).....
It makes it more difficult but interesting that every order is sooo different...saying our prayers that Mothers would live long to see many more mothers day and hopefully our pockets would not be experiencing a meltdown then.

Luckily, Another mothers day is coming up on the 9th of May...We would be there for You.. :)

i AM NEW AT THIS BUT HERE IT GOES............

I have always loved shopping for gifts for people more than shopping for clothes for myself like most girls...I guess its the gratitude and surprise You see on their faces when they receive the RIGHT GIFT and You feeling like slapping yourself on the back saying " well done You got it right".

So no matter how shallow or deep my pocket is, I always know the gift to give........

With a mission to save girls from FAKE ROSES, STREET PERFUMES,HARD TEDDY BEARS, MUGS and other CLICHE VALS GIFTS .

We set out fliers in hand to sell our idea to people that really need us.The busy husbands, boyfriends,fiances and admirers..........got few female clients though. We found out that though everyone liked the idea not everyone was willingly to pay for the exculsive service.

Nigerians love free things!!!!!!!! confirmed lol, though we offered a cake,wine,fresh roses and delivery with every bundle, some clients needed us to sweet talk them into parting with their cash....

Nevertheless quite a number got registered with us, though we got ridiculous demands like,

"deliver before 8:00am, get me a wristwatch and perfume for 10000, loan me some money to buy your bundle"

(lol),(seriously someone actually offered that)

We shopped,shoppped,shopppped till we almost dropped, Then the decision on the kind of packaging to use was a real hassle we argued about giftbags, boxes and baskets (when there are too many creative minds in d house there is usually wahala lol)......

After all was said and done.

We prepared packages ranging from 10000 to above 100000 and mehn...they were sooooooooooo tight.Their contents ranged from lingerie to, Spa treatments, Blackberries and there were fresh roses,cakes and chocs in all..... (am sure all the girls mouth are watering right about now)

We started delivery from friday to sunday and Our clients were amazed at athe contents and presentation of the gifts.

We witnessed emotions ranging from awe to hysterical laughter......It brought joy to our heart be part of a lot of strangers valentine's day and we have got a lot of calls regarding our other services.......

In case You wonder what we did on valentine's day after delivering packages..........we rested and on monday WE WENT TO SEE VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!! YIPPEE (cliche much!!!!)
